In Vermont

I have arrived at my new home in Vermont!!!!

As you saw in the pictures, I spent a few days in Boston with my friend Maggie before coming here. We went to the Arnold Arboretum and wandered around downtown and ate a lot of yummy chinesse food at a yummy brunch place and generally had a really good visit! So I left there at 2 and after a three hour bus ride I made it to White River Junction near where I’m staying. Then a 20 minute car ride through the beautiful Vermont spring. It is soooo lovely here! AND we even saw a bike for sale on the way, so I got me a $10 junk bike to play with!

They had a Memorial Day barbaque tonight so I’ve already met everyone at the farm here, the neighbors, the apprentices at the farm down the road, and a few random people who showed up…. kinda overwhelming. I did the dishes.

Anyway, at the farm I’m working at there is the family who lives here (Jen, kyle, and 9 year old Brad). Then there are currently 3 interns. One lives in town about 5 miles away with her boyfriend, and one other girl lives here. One or two more girls might be coming.

Tonight at the barbeque I got to play catch with a really cool seeming little girl who wants to be a vet when she grows up and likes reading and James Harriet and plays softball (sound familiar?), eat amazing food including strawberry rhubarb pie with ice cream (!), and see some fireworks!

That’s all for now. I begin work tomoorow.
