Vacations with Liza Lou (aka I SAW A CEICILIAN!!!!)
I have been the last week traveling around Costa Rica with my friend Aliza who came to visit. The first part of the trip was in the Talamanca mountain range, near San Isidro. We arrived in San Isidro in the late afternoon and were trying to figure out where we could stay for not a whole lot of money when I suggested we call this lady Susana who is a friend of a friend of a friend of mine, so we did and she said Jump in a taxi and come right over, I’m waiting for you by the gate! She is living off in the mountains but still in the stiffling heat in a little wooden cabin about 5 minutes walking down from the road…. with a little farm and a river near by. It’s absolutely beautiful and tranquile and stress free… but I think I would get lonely and feel isolated after a few days. She seems to really love it though, she’s from Elk Rapids.
Well, one evening Aliza and I went walking down the road and I saw crossing the road this wierd wormish snakish bizarrish thing….. a CEICILIAN! For most of you who have no clue what that is… wikipedia it!!!!!! They are bizarre amphibians that give live birth and are carniverous and just overall COOL. And I SAW ONE! I would talk about it much longer but I’m running out of time on the internet…….
We are now chilling on the beach in Puerto Viejo with some Tico friends from Mastatal…. it’s chill and nice and sandy and I’m out of time so write more later!
